Every church is unique - its history, context, vision and ethos. If you have come to Glenabbey from another church, you may well find certain things about us which are unfamiliar, perhaps even strange! If you have not previously been around a church, there may still be surprises.

It takes time to find your way around, time to feel you belong. We encourage you to take your time, ask plenty of questions, start attending different activities, and in general discover as much as you can about our strengths and weaknesses. One way you can do that is to attend our "Discover Glenabbey" course. Discover Glenabbey has been specifically designed for those who would like to know more about Glenabbey, especially if they are thinking of making it their 'spiritual home'. For many this is a big decision, and we believe it should be an informed one.

Discover Glenabbey will supply many of the answers to the questions you have already in your mind, and indeed to some you have not yet thought of:

Where did Glenabbey come from?
What does Glenabbey believe?
How is Glenabbey led?
What is the vision of the church?
What is expected of members?

The course is normally run over a series of 5 evenings and is held up to 3 times per year. Each evening extensive notes are provided so that you can easily review any of the material at home and think it through for yourself.

We encourage you to make the most of this opportunity to find out more. Attendance at Discover Glenabbey does not imply that you are asking for membership of the church, but it is a pre-requisite for membership.
