PeopleOur Youth Ministry is led by a team of people, most of them on a voluntary basis. However, we have some staff members dedicated to Youth Ministry: |

Paul Coulter recently started on staff as Director of Youth Ministry at Glenabbey, and he would love to hear from any of the youth connected to the church. If you have any questions or need some support, please email him. |

Ricky Mehaffy has particular responsibilities for Switch and Junior Icons. He also likes people, so please email him. |
ProgrammesOur programmes are all intended to further our goal of discipleship. We have special activities during school holidays, and during term-times we run the following programmes: |

Icons (small groups): Icons are the small group core of our Youth Ministry, where we see the greatest maturing of our young people. We would encourage all of our young people to function within an Icon, as it is here that relationships are deepened and life transformation happens. A typical Icon night includes teaching, discussion, food and fun. Same sex cell groups are taken from the Icon, and here at an even smaller number and with close, accountable, relationships, deeper life transformation is encouraged. Cells and whole group Icons running on alternate weeks. To find out how to join an Icon, please speak to any of the youth leaders. |

Junior Youth (years 8-10): Switch: Fridays 8:30-10:30pm during term dates (Warehouse) Switch is a large group gathering of all young people from years 8 - 10. We hope that Switch will feed into Icons. Bible class: Sunday mornings during main service. This is a large group format, but is broken down into smaller groups for discussion. There is a strong focus on training for the young people who attend and lead. Junior Icons - Tuesday evenings. |

Senior Youth (years 11-14): Fridays 8:30-10:30pm during term dates (House) This is a large group gathering of young people from years 11-14. The programme is varied, dealing with real life issues and applying God's truth into life. The aim is to see this being increasingly led by the young people themselves. Senior Icons - Tuesday evenings. |

The aim of our youth ministry is to follow Jesus' call to make disciples. Our goal can be summarised in Colossians 2:6 & 7, where those who have already received Christ as Lord are called to continue living in Him. This means having deep roots in Him, being built up in Him and being strengthened in our faith. The end result will be lives full of thankfulness.
