About Glenabbey

Groups

The church is made up of people, and each person is uniquely gifted by God to serve Him and other people in every part of their lives. Equipping is all about helping people engage more fully with the good news about Jesus Christ, with the church and with the Bible so that they can be prepared to do the work that God wants them to do.


Equipping happens through a number of courses that run on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings throughout the year as well as special events. Sign-up sheets for courses are available at our Sunday morning services.

Equipping overview

There are three key pathways for our equipping ministry:

  • Induction Courses - helping people to engage more fully with the Christian faith, introducing people to the core message of Jesus and helping new Christians to grow in their faith. More
  • Ministry Pathway - helping people to engage more fully with Glenabbey Church, moving into membership, then into service and where appropriate into leadership. More
  • Biblical Studies - helping people to engage more fully with the Bible, moving from personal study to preparing to teach others. More

In addition, we have a number of topical courses that are aimed at helping Christians to develop a clear, biblical understanding of key issues in life and belief. We also arrange conferences lasting one or more days to provide support.
